Legal norms for AI agents, with the source of every answer
Knowjack collects legal texts from official sources and serves them to Claude, Cursor or any MCP client, each passage cited to the official text. Content is screened for injected instructions before your agent sees it.
Quick start
Add Knowjack to Claude Code, then sign in once in the browser:
claude mcp add --transport http knowjack https://knowledge-hub-two-bay.vercel.app/mcpCursor and Claude Desktop connect to the same address. For your own code there is a REST API with API keys.
Why it exists
Agents are only as good as what they know, and today that is not much.
- Agents answer from memory. Models learned the law months ago. They miss the latest amendments and fill the gaps with confident guesses.
- Answers without the norm cannot be checked. A confident answer that names no law and no section leaves you to look it up from scratch.
- Laws keep changing. Keeping the official text current through every amendment is work nobody has time for.
How it works
- 1Use the assistant you already have. Lawyers, tax advisers, accountants or anyone who works with the law connect Knowjack to Claude, Cursor or any other MCP client. Nothing new to learn.
- 2It answers from current law, not from memory. Your assistant searches up-to-date legal texts from official sources, so its answers get better and it has far less room to make things up.
- 3Every answer shows where it comes from. Each passage names the law, section and page and links to the official text.
- 4Safe to give to your AI. Text taken from the internet can't be trusted blindly: someone can hide instructions in it to steer your assistant. We check every passage before it reaches you, so nobody can use our sources to harm you.
Knowjack collects and cites; it does not give legal advice. Only the official publication of a law is binding.

Who it is for
If you work with the law
- Connect your AI assistant once, then add the knowledge bases you need from the catalog.
- Get answers with the law, section and page they rest on, and a link to the official text.
- See the source of every claim instead of trusting the AI's memory.
If you build legal or tax AI products
- Call search from your own code over REST or MCP with an API key.
- Every passage comes with its citation and is marked as data, so source text can't steer your agent.
- Rate limits, quotas and usage logs per key.
- One plan covers every knowledge base.
Questions
What is Knowjack?
Legal norms for AI agents: knowledge bases of legal texts from official sources. Agents connect over MCP (Claude Code, Cursor, Claude Desktop or any MCP client) or a REST API and get passages with the document, section and page they come from.
How do I connect an agent?
In Claude Code, run "claude mcp add --transport http knowjack https://knowledge-hub-two-bay.vercel.app/mcp", then sign in once in the browser and add knowledge bases from the catalog. Cursor and Claude Desktop connect to the same address. Your own code can call the REST API with an API key: POST /api/v1/kb/{owner}/{kb}/search.
Where does the content come from?
From official sources that Knowjack adds itself; users do not upload. Each text is parsed, split into passages and indexed for search by meaning and by keyword. When Knowjack adds a new version, agents get it on the next query.
Can I rely on the answers?
Knowjack returns the text of its sources; it aggregates and does not give legal, tax, financial or other professional advice. Only the official publication of a law is legally binding. Every passage names its document, section and page, so check it against the official text before you act on it.
How are agents protected from instructions hidden in documents?
Every passage is scanned for prompt injection and harmful content before it is published, and anything suspicious waits for review. Passages reach agents inside delimiters that mark them as data, never as instructions.
How much does it cost?
Free covers 300 units a calendar month, with no card. Pro covers 10,000 units per billing period, as a subscription through Stripe; the price is shown at checkout. A search is one unit; a large result or a page of a document can take several. When the allowance is used up, calls are refused until the next period or an upgrade.
